Boys Interrupted

Mobile Mayor Sam Jones will be part of a panel at a unique community foundation event on February 14th, “Boys Interrupted”. The event, which takes place at the Crescent Theater in downtown Mobile from 3 to 5 p.m., combines a panel discussion with excerpts from the award-winning documentary “The Interrupters”.

Mayor Jones and a panel that includes Judge Edmond Naman and Dr. James Tres Stefurak will discuss how to improve outcomes for boys and young men in Baldwin and Mobile counties. The panel will be moderated by Loren Harris, Partner of Frontline Solutions

The M.O.R.E. initiative is designed to encourage young men ages 8-18 to stay in school, go to college, enter a vocation, and get involved with thecommunity. Your gifts to theCommunity Endowment Fund will be used to help build coalitions to address the challenges boys and young men face in achieving their potential, living healthy lives and contributing to the betterment of their communities.

This free event is part of our M.O.R.E initiative. It is open to the community and seating is limited.  For more information and to RSVP, email or call 438-5591.

The Crescent Theater was opened with intent to serve adult patrons. The films we chose usually have a PG-13 rating or higher. We have always tried to follow the MPAA guidelines. We also serve beer and wine. We do not allow cell phone use in the theater after the film has started and we do not allow late entry. Our doors are open every day one hour before each film and due to our popularity we encourage our patrons to arrive early to get a good seat.
